Tamworth Regional Craft Center Art & Craft Patchwork "The Colour Red" Quilt Show Members of the Art & Craft Patchwork group at The Craft Shed are showcasing their talents at "The Colour Red" Quilt Show being held on Saturday 5 May and Sunday 6 May. There will be a colourful collection of quilts on display, made by members since the last quilt show in 2016. You will see pieced and appliqued quilts, traditional and modern. A special display will be quilts from our 2017 Row by Row Quilt Challenge, a surprising exhibition of quilts all made from the same pattern instructions but all unique, many incorporating our colour red theme and reflecting the personalities of their makers. Demonstrations of quilting and craft will be shown during the days, and it's an ideal opportunity to enquire about becoming a member of the patchwork group, which meets on Thursdays and Saturdays at The Craft Shed. Whilst there, you can also look around at the workshops of other craft groups who also meet at the shed. Tea and scones, and light lunches will be available. The winner of our splendid red raffle quilt will be drawn on Sunday at the conclusion of the show. The group has chosen to support Tamworth Girl Guides, who will be accepting gold coin donations at the door. Funds raised by the guides will benefit local charities. Click here to see our poster. Come along and see the many different groups at the Craft Shed on the corner of Peel & Marius Streets opposite the Northgate Shopping Centre.
